Research
By collecting the data from 87 people in their 20s, only 15% people among them have both speaker and wireless earbuds. However, the selected sample of 8 out of the rest 85% have complained that only speaker or wireless earbuds couldn't satisfy their need for daily entertainment.
Therefore, there's a potential for an expanding market for a portable and dual-functional wireless earbuds charging case.

Challenge
Design a speaker and earbuds combination that could be easily carried outside and share music with the others.

Objectives
To fit the younger generation's need for enjoy music individually but sometimes also share the music taste with closest friend, I aims to provide a multifunctional charging case for audiophiles.

Persona
By creating the persona, I empathize with the users that I design for. Use it as a guideline and always jump off from the egocentric thinking to see the bigger picture.

Ideations
Exploring the possibilities of a new form factor that differentiates Kooto from exisiting products. The integration of form and function was the only measure to decide which idea to move on with.

Fits in hands comfortably and the proportion is fine.
The diameter is too big.
The carabiner's proportion is incorrect.
Uncomfortable form to fit in hands.

Prototyping
Built the CAD models in Solidworks and 3d printed the generations of the them. Having 4 people with different hand sizes to test which one fits the hand the best.

Kooto utilizes a push-to-pop mechanism to increase the integration of the form and to provide a different experience.
